Dischidia nr. Burma

I got this as cuttings from Yale a few years back. It's grown like gangbusters and now resides in a 5" hanging pot, and hangs over 3' long! And at long last, it's blooming. Here's a little cluster that's open...
And another that's up-and-coming, will have 8 flowers!
The flowers remind me a lot of ruscifolia, a little bigger, and in clusters instead of singular. No scent as far as I can tell.

| Thanks, ladies. You know, Dischida flowers aren't terribly showy like Hoya flowers, but if you can see them magnified, they're very pretty little flowers. I often wonder what makes nature "decide" what plants get big showy flowers and what plants get little discreet ones. Especially when they pretty much grow side by side... Denise in Omaha |

Nice Dischidia Denise! The leaves remind me of my Hoya pimenteliana. Do they really have that satin look or is it the lighting? Mike |
