Proper watering isn't about timing - it's about dryness. I have always used the "feel" method to determine if a plant needs to be watered. I push my index finger about 1/2" into the soil medium and if it feels dry, I water. That could mean every couple of days when it's hot, it could mean every week or so for a 4" pot that sits on a window sill in the winter, it could be once a month for a big pot. I've tried the moisture meters and they're worthless. Feeling is the best way to be sure to water properly. Now, imagine doing that will 350 plants! LOL!
