I generally treat new names from sellers I do not know with suspicion. Some slap new names on them in order to sell them higher and faster. Does not mean this one did it, and does not mean H. pubea does not exist - it just means to be skeptical.
A few other sites pop up in response to "hoya pubea" google search as well.
Yeah, no such thing as Hoya pubea. It is Hoya nummularioides. There is also a hoya pubera. I dislike made up names, as it adds to the already confusing world of hoya labels.
That plant on plantcareinfo is Hoya nummularioides, cara. There are several hoyas out there that go by invalid names, such as pubea, as I said earlier. I do believe (someone correct me if I am wrong) that Hoya pubea was the name used by Exotic Angels for Hoya nummularioides quite some time back. Exotic Angels is notorious for mislabeling and inventing new names for already named hoyas. Apparently, this has actually been discussed before on GW/hoya forum.
