tips on pachyclada?
This one might be my favorite hoya perfume of all...to me (with apologies to GG :-D) it smells like soft ginger with just a hint of something citrusy--lime maybe? It's NOT my favorite hoya though, because I just don't seem to be able to grow it well...every winter it suffers from a near-death experience...the leaves shrivel and get soft, some of them yellow and fall off, and the whole plant just sort of collapses...every Spring I put it back out on the deck where it slowly recovers, maybe even puts out a little new growth, then back inside where it musters up enough strength to give me a bloom cluster or two, then the long deterioration starts again...it's very frustrating...
How do people here handle their pachycladas during the winter? Do they like it cool and dry, or do they seem to need more warmth and humidity?...thanks for any insights...here's this Fall's bloom offering from my long suffering plant:
