I used the zoom and you can see what I think is a bud in the center. It's not the best pic but it's really tiny. TIA

Well I'm not too sure about what it is exactly, but sure looks like a bud to me. I'd be interested to know how to grow this wee lass. A kind lady generously shared a cutting with me a year or so ago and I'll be @a8^ed if I know how to help her grow nice and big...slow, I've seen banana slugs move faster :)

Your right that this one just develops single buds that seem to come right from the stem. When my Hoya patella flowered it was the same, no obvious peduncle.
Looks like your plant will be in bloom in a couple of weeks, congratulations.

Thanks. I was hoping that's what it was. Kelly this plant was a whopping 3" for what seemed like forever. I think I even posted a question asking what I was doing wrong. Since it was so small I decided to transplant it into a conch shell thinking it wasn't going to do much. Well I guess it really likes it's shell or it finally decided it was time to grow but it put on an amazing amount of growth over the past 6 months. It's turned into a nice looking plant so don't give up.

Good to know Karyn. Thanks for your story. Mine is about 3 inches long too and has been that way for a couple of years. Mind you, it has just very recently, decided to start sending out a wee stem. It is so delicate looking (the whole plant) that I hold her up every few days and just look at her. Looks happy enough, but not much growth. Well I'll be patient. Say, post the photo if the bud opens up...
