I'm looking for a small supply of chicken manure for a hot bed. Does anyone know of a source near Hurley/Kingston?

Thanks!

I, too, would love to find a source. Many years ago I got several bushel baskets of the stuff from (I think it was called) 2 Brothers on 9W south of Port Ewen. They've been out of business for at least 5-6 years, but I learned that transporting the baskets of manure in the back seat is not a really great idea. We managed to get home with all the windows open but I would never do it again. There are a couple of farm stands nearby that sell eggs, I will ask them.

I remember 3 Brothers; it has been a while. I have been thinking about the transport issue too. We need a "free delivery chicken manure" service. I think I'll call Cornell Ext. Service and will let you know.

how bout my house?
As I was cleaning my coop from noon til 6 this afternoon, I was thinking.. maybe someon would come shovel this ...er- stuff if I let
em take it home for the compost pile...

At any rate, it's al shoveled, but I did have a bunch mixed with shaving, and would be more than happy to make a trade for some 5gal buckets..

any takers???

Since you're zone 6, I suspect you're a bit south of me. I'm at the 100 miles from NYC area. My vehicle is a small pickup truck and I have driven a fair distance to pickup manure but I am looking for closer sources.

Where are you located? I'd be interested in some.
