Have any good community service ideas?

As part of the National Honor Society at Arlington High School I was appointed head of a Committee to conduct some sort of community garden or beautification project. Does any body know of a place in Dutchess county that is in need of some free landscaping, and possibly sources that we can get plants donated from? All we need is plants, I can take care of the rest. I am not asking for anybody to sacrifice their own plants, we have enough of that all ready, just maybe a business that might like to help out. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Klavier

Do you have a county nursing home? Residents in a nursing home always benefit from a pretty place to view from inside or to go to outside. Maybe there's an existing outdoor area that can use some sprucing up.

If you do have such a place and make it your project- I'd be happy to offer advice if needed.

Good luck- it's great to know you want to help beautify your community!
