Hi All;

In speaking to someone at Lowe's Garden Center (For me-Newburgh) I was told they would be getting Hardy Gardinia around the middle of April. I asked if he knew for sure they were Hardy and he replied that, yes, he was sure. I'll have to check back as, so far, no one else nearby even knew there were Hardies.

Wow, I've only seen hardy to z7, that would be a huge find! Good luck. There is a 'ground cover gardenia' but I'm not sure where I saw it. Sorry. These days I've been all over the place, reading ,visiting, planning, you know the drill at this time of year.

Glad you found some. Keep me posted as to when they come in stock. I would love to give them a try.

I have only heard of them being hardy to Z7, too. On the other hand, I know a woman who lives close to Pawling/Poughkeepsie and she has had one thriving in her yards for over 4 years now. But that is the only one I've ever heard of. Go figure.

I saw hanging basket/ground cover variety listed on eBay today. It, too, is recommended for zone 6/7 or warmer.

Sorry Everyone!

I checked back at Lowe's And was told they are not on order and I was evidently given misinformation.. It looks like the only way to get
a Hardy Gardenias is through a Nursey Catalog or Online. I was very disapointed as I'm sure some others are. Maybe next year????
