Peepers at sunset!

At 4 PM I thought it was a bird (still think it was),
but two hours later it was peepers, no question.
Not much water in the ponds and swamps, poor guys.
Hope we get a wet April!

Clearing beds, moving shrubs, ain't it just the cat's miaow!
And no blackflies, no mosquitoes, intoxicating!

I planted peas and annual poppies this week. Nice to have no bugs and cool, cloudy weather for planting. I love spring. It had better rain, though, so my seeds sprout. No peepers yet in West Hurley.

RE: Peepers at sunset!

I heard this year's first peepers a few nights ago here in Rhinebeck.

Glad to hear you planted peas. I'm planning to plant sweet peas this week.
