Free compost in Westchester

I know about the free compost day in May in Saxon Woods, White Plains, but does anyone know if I can go there in advance to get some free compost?

What does compost usually cost? I hear they sell it at Gedney's in White Plains.

RE: Free compost in Westchester

Do you live in White Plains? I ask because I think each town has their own thing going (and I didn't know about the free compost in White Plains). I live in Chappaqua and we can get free compost all spring into the summer by calling the recycling center here in New Castle. It might be worth a call to your own town hall to find out if there's a similar offering there.
