Where to purchase organic fertilizer in bulk?

Posted by gaetanol z6NY (My Page) on

I live in central Westchester County and I'm interested in using organic fertilizer for my lawn. The lawn is ~4000 square feet and I was interested in using corn meal or soy meal. I have been trying to find a store that sells meal in bulk, but have not had luck (pardon the rhyme). Does anyone have any recommendations on where I might purchase bulk meal for my lawn?
Thanks in advance,
Guy

RE: Where to purchase organic fertilizer in bulk?

I use soy meal for my garlic. Apparently it is also used for fattening hogs. I first found it at a local Agway and now get it at a more local feed store. I'm in Ulster County which is mostly rural so no shortage of feed stores, even so, not all carry it.
