RE: Wild strawberry: friend or foe?

I usually pull out these plants during my spring cleanup. This year I am going to put them in pots. Don't know if they produce fruit, but they will be pretty greenery. Didn't see any comments about any poisonous varieties as far as eating the fruit. Is this correct?

Mine usually produce fruit but the birds get most of it. I've eaten wild strawberries a number of times with no problems, haven't heard of any poisonous varieties.

There are nuisance plants that look like wild strawberry but don't flower. But I think that all wild strawberry fruits can be eaten. I found some last year and they were delicious!
