Are Catskill wild chives/onions edible?

| Scores of small-bulbed onions, with single stalks that reach 3-4' and are now forming buds, spring up in the garden each ... um ... spring. I'm tempted to sauté them up for supper. What are they, and are they edible? |

| Yes, they're edible. Well, I eat them! Try them a bit at a time. |
