| Wow, the rhubarb is gigantic this year, and I just made the first pie of the season! Yum. I love plants that are so easy to grow. It's also quite a handsome foliage plant.
If you don't have any, I recommend it highly. |

| funny (not to mention incredibly stupid) thing... i had a small, ornamental (ugly and inherited when i bought the house) pine tree removed from a bed near the doggie door last fall and, unlike in previous years, that bed was overwhelmed by what, i decided, were monstrous weeds. but they were cool looking, so i just let 'em go. then came a hail storm and they were decimated, so i whacked away at them to throw into the compost (i would've dug up the roots, but it was too much work for my aching back). two days later, a guy was working here and wondered how i'd prepared all my rhubarb. who knew?! next year i'm planning on PIE! |

| About 30 years ago the across the street neighbors (they had just moved in) proudly showed me the back yard full of 'rhubarb' they had just discovered. I was sorry to tell them it was all dock weed which I have to admit, looks a lot like rhubarb to the untrained eye. |
