I am planning to attend for the first time this year- any tips on arrival time- eg are there long lines waiting to get in at the opening?

Believe it or not, there was not a lot of people when I went last year and they were not short on any plants and I went in the afternoon on the last day of the sale. Tree peonies seemed to go quickly, but they were absolute novelties. Incredible flowers. I will have to get one this year.

Thanks for the info on the IES plant sale, I didn't even know it existed....sounds like a nice place to be this weekend. I have three tree peonies..they do great here in my z5 garden...the flowers are beautiful and every year they increase in number. I'd say go for it, they are trouble free as long as you plant them at the recommended depth. Thanks again, can't wait to see what I find there...JoAnn

How are the prices at this sale?

Don't bother, people. They must have sold all the good stuff on Friday, as I was there when it opened today and there was a bunch of junk for sale. Unless you wanted Hosta "Guacamole" - some nice plants there. And all at nursery prices. Definitely not worth the 2 hours round trip travel time it took me.
