Vanderbilt Plant Sale?

I heard there was a plant sale at Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park this weekend.
Unfortunatly I didn't get a chance to go and I was wondering how it was and if they had any interesting plants for sale.
Has anyone here gone and if so,how was it? |

| We made more than $2000 on Saturday. Closed down Sunday afternoon because of thunderstorm forecasts for Monday. They didn't show up, but that's the way this spring has gone. I've totally given up on what other people find 'interesting'. If there is something relatively specific you are looking for, I may be able to remember if I loaded it into a truck. Because of not selling on Monday, and having a lot of plants left over, we will be taking money on usual work days - 9 am to 12 am Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Any interest in Ostrich ferns? |

| It was good to finally meet you too! The rose show is June 20th. Judging starts at 11, and we pack up and go home at 4. For anybody else, it's at the Port Ewen Town Hall, on 9W in Port Ewen, just south of Kingston. Given how early the rose season has started, I have no idea what will show up. |

| Hiya Kaye, Will see you at the Rose Show - sent my check in to join the Mid-Hudson Rose Society, and look forward to meeting other rose folks here in the area. Didn't realize how close Port Ewen was to me till I called town hall, and found out it was right across the little bridge by the Roundout. Town Hall
