Spring garden photos

Here are some early June photos of my garden in its first full year of cultivation. (I dug it last summer and put the first plants in the ground in August.) They were taken just as the first heat wave was getting under way, after a cold and wet spring.

Very nice, thank you for sharing them with us. I think I can smell the thyme from here...it looks like the sun was heating them up and sending their aroma this way....

I have a few thymes..lemon, highland cream and regular garden thyme...I love the scent...especially the lemon thyme, smells like a tall cool glass of iced tea with lemon to me.

I like the look of so many violas together..very nice. I plant them in groups, but like three at a time....yours is just beautiful.

Thank again for sharing...JoAnn

JoAnn – Yes, lemon thyme is my favorite for scent, too. The violas looked a little sparse when I was digging around in the mud in April, but they filled out into a nice band of color ... something to look at while the perennials were still yawning and stretching!
