Picking cherries

What a great day to be out with a couple of pails and with the trees loaded with sweet cherries! I was up at Fix Bros - just south of the Catskill Bridge on the right side of the Hudson and the cherries were going fast. Sweets this week and sours starting June 30. I got enough to eat and to freeze and to eat and..... At one point I was sitting on the ground, filling my pail as I sat there.

RE: Picking cherries

My grandparents had a huge cherry tree. Wonder if it's still standing.

Cherries are not usually one of my favorites, but once you get a bowl of ripe cherries in front of you, you realize, again, how tasty they are.
