Move Japanese Maple?

Posted by Giniene z5 NY (My Page) on

Last year, I planted a small Japanese Maple VERY close to my house. Being a newbie, I didn't realize that it would grow so much that some leaves are now touching the house. It needs to be moved, when is the right time to do this? Does anyone know if I can I do it now or should I wait for the fall?

Wait until fall. Ideally it should be dormant when moved and cool, wet weather will help it get established.
