Northern Dutchess Botanical Gardens mid-summer sale

starts this coming weekend but early birders get first choice as of today.

Sounds good to me! I did visit there this spring and bought plants labeled 'perennial,' but when I researched them at home, they turned out to be not hardy in zone 5. At $5-8 a pot, that ticked me off a bit. But, the blooms are quite unusual and I'm enjoying them so far. I may pot them up and bring them in for the winter.

I went there yesterday. The sale is only for annuals. But their flowers are beautiful! They have perennials in all stages of growth. They put them out as they flower.

As for the not-so-hardy perennials, I was told to let them freeze, then mulch.
