 o
Tiger Lily source?

Hi - I think I'm the only person in my area of Dutchess County without tiger lilies somewhere on my property! I want the ones you see growing wild on the side of rural roads. I had them at my old house and am kicking myself for not remembering to take any when we moved. I have a hillside across my driveway that I'd like to 'naturalize', and I think clumps of tiger lilies would be great. Where can I get them?

I think you answered your own question-growing wild on the side of the road! Ask for permission to dig from the property owner.

Come to my house and dig them up!

Tiger lilies are bulbs (which have a lot of viruses these days). What you see on the roadsides are daylilies which grow from roots. I'm a teacher, so forgive me for jumping in to do what I naturally do. LOL.
