Just picked six (6) tomatoes!

Stupice, which means they are about golf ball size but taste like the real McCoy. I got my first one on July 12th, then another earlier this week and now they are really ripening. I bought four plants this spring and they are all loaded with fruit. Since my main crop tomatoes won't be ripening for two or three weeks, these little fellers will fill my hunger for ripe tomatoes off the vine until the big tomatoes start.

Aren't the first ones wonderful? What is it about the first tomato? My cherry tomatoes (Supersweet 100) always give me the first thrill of the season.

For me, the first snap pea is like heaven. The first green beans were eaten yesterday, too, and that was a thrill. Fortex pole beans are the best because they are extra long and give you more bean for the space.
