Will my Gold Cone Deodar Cedar turn Gold?

Hey guys,

I live on Long Island, I purchased a Gold Code Deodar Cedar about a year ago from a local nursery. It's now about 2.5 feet tall but the tree's needles are green, the tree was green when I bought it. Will the tree turn Golden at some point?

    I don't know about your particular plant, but I've bought a couple of plants that were green and promised nice shades of rust or red in certain seasons. It took a few years for this to occur. The plants were either too young or still adjusting to the site. So I say Patience is needed.
