Picking blueberries

Was up at Greig's in Red Hook yesterday and got a couple of quarts. The season is winding down but there is still a lot left. I like them best sugared and topped off with ricotta cheese (not as rich as sour cream and it tastes a bit like blueberry cheesecake). But they were good this morning mixed with raspberries and sliced peaches.

RE: Picking blueberries

I was thinking about going blueberry picking this year, but I guess I will have to try next year. Red Hook is a long haul for me, but I am sure I could find someplace closer.

My sister-in-law brought down some blueberries that she picked in Cortlandt and to say that they were great would be an understatement.

I am addicted to blueberry pancakes. I am glad you enjoyed yours.
