| Last summer, at the house I share in Woodstock, I dug out a small garden from an old meadow, surrounded it with deer fencing, and removed hundreds upon hundreds of rocks from the clay soil. My first experience (since childhood) of "real" growing in the ground!
It's roughly divided into three sections for herbs, flowers, and a few veggies, though they're freely intermingled. Here are some pictures from its first full year. |

| nygardener - thanks for the photos. I especially liked the way you included information in the captions. This could be the beginnings of a book on gardening! (how do you manage to post photos in this way? I still can't seem to figure it out) |

| I'm glad you enjoyed the photos! Sorry I haven't responded sooner; my computer's been down and needed to be replaced, so I'm just catching up with new pictures. Plays, I created the journal by writing the HTML code, and saving it in the area my Internet service provides for home pages and personal Web pages. If you're interested in learning a little HTML, my pages are very simple, and you're free to copy and change them as you like. But you do need to have a place to "host" the pages and pictures. See if your ISP offers this service. |
