or am I just *seeing* them?

I think I'm going to encourage some of my "Blacktop Susans"
(rode in on straw bales 5 years ago, now everywhere!)
to fill in in front of a particularly lush stand of goldenrod.

I started noticing goldenrods after reading your post here. There sure are a lot of new baby plants across the fields around here. There must've been good conditions for them this spring with all the rain. They really are pretty.
