| Well, this year I made up my mind to go and finally got there. Holy Smokes, what a sensory pleasure!
We listened to jazz and ragtime, watched English folk dancing, perused the hand-thrown pottery stalls, looked over the jewelry and clothing and giftware. And, of course, we sampled garlic cheese & bread & spreads & dips & pretzels & soup & vinegar & dipping oil & salad dressing & ICE CREAM! Yes, garlic ice cream! Interesting, definately wouldn't seek it out at Stewart's, but interesting to try. The day couldn't have been better. I'm so glad I went. I understand you can buy admission tickets cheaper on line if anyone decides to drive up/over/down tomorrow. |

| Festival's over, I'll let this drift down and away . . . |

| But a reminder that garlic planting time is Columbus Day - not all that far away if you want to grow the smelly rose yourself. Also if you want to sample different kinds of garlic, pay a visit to LaTerre Garlic Farm in Clinton Corners - they'll be open now until they run out of garlic - maybe November, maybe later. That's also a good place to buy cloves for planting. |
