All this warm weather seems to be confusing the heck out of some plants - some of my sweet woodruff is blooming ! Anyone else seeing things like this ? And do you think this will affect the blossoms in the spring ?

Thanks,
Philomena

RE: Sweet Woodruff

Ive see a few things putting out new growth this fall. I dont know how it will affect things in the spring, this year was the best blooming year Ive seen in a long time and I wondered if it was because of last year's mild winter. I guess we're all new to this warming trend. I have to remember next spring to look around and see what happening (and then take notes)

RE: Sweet Woodruff

With these warm days, I can easily get through winter without cabin fever! lol. I did, last year. I like it!

I noticed that my garden is more enjoyable in winter with the perennials growing and flowers coming (violas). I'm waiting to see which half hardy perennials make it through and what it takes to really kill one off.

The bad part of this is that the voles are active again.

My worry is the bulbs which are already pushing through. Once those flower buds come up, it's over.

Oh well. Every year brings new challenges.
