WANTED: Rose Of Sharon

I have a start of the Rose of Sharon in a container with water, it is blooming good. Does it hurt to take the dead flowers off, or should I let them fall off on their own? How much roots do they have to have before they can be put in the ground?

RE:: Rose Of Sharon

Does it hurt to tie up the Rose of Sharon, or should it be allowed to droop?
