Banding Hummingbirds in January

I enjoyed a wonderful first experience of watching a banding of hummingbirds in Baton Rouge,LA. Nancy Newfield, hummingbird researcher and author, banded hummers recently at a home, and I was invited to watch. It was awesome. You can Google "Nancy Newfield," and watch the process. I have feeders out, but I have not observed a hummer yet.

Congratulations! I was wondering if you'd seen any birds this winter, but glad you got to see Nancy at work. It's a pretty amazing process, isn't it?
