It appears they are a bit slow to coming to our house even with the aloe abundantly blooming now. I did get lucky with a quick snap of one.....

He came to the salvia just outside my window a little while ago. He's a beautiful male ruby-throat. Maybe they are early this year. Last year I didn't see one until March 4 or 5.

It's SO exciting to watch those little tracking dots work their way north! I think it is just for the male ruby throats, but that means females are close behind...
