Hummingbird Garden

Hummer in Atlanta, I think

I'm fairly certain I heard a hummingbird on Tuesday of this week. Probably a ruby throat, since I live in Atlanta. I'm pretty good at hearing them, for an old guy of 61. Most people my age don't seem to have the high frequency hearing to hear their high pitched voice.

I use ear plugs at all loud music concerts, when mowing the lawn, and whenever it's noisy.

Btw, our yard has bradford pears blooming heavily right now, and just a few spring bulbs, which the hummers don't particularly like. The bradford pears smell like rotting meat or rancid grease, which draws flies and other insects, and I suppose that's what's drawing the hummers, mainly.
