Well I just though I would tell you what was going on at my house. I had my suspisions with my feeders being up for a week or so now but today I got them confirmed. He was here for just a few seconds at the feeder and then he was gone just as fast. I really dont have anything blooming except for some Petunias and a little bit of Verbena which are both annuals. My perrinial Verbena is just now starting to green up, as well as my Mystic Spires Blue Salvia. My Greggii Salvia is just starting to get some small blooms going. Lantana and Turks Cap arent even showing green as of yet. The Trumpet Creeper is just now starting to grow again. The Spanish Lavender is just now starting to bloom. Not a big hit with the hummers although they will use it. Some years they hit some plants harder than they did the previous year. My Silverado Sage aka. Texas Sage is just starting to green up as well. We had snow just a week or so ago so it has been snowing here a lot more than usual. Spring is finally here though.

Thanks Nikon. Looks like your plants are getting ready to go. I have trumpet creeper as well, and it's got lots of new leaves. My B&B Salvia is growing well but recovering from a cold winter outside in pots. Let me know what plants work best for your hummers.

Just had a very unpleasant surprise. I was busy in the kitchen, walked back into the living room and found a male RT inside my apartment trying to get out through a closed window. He came in through an open sliding glass door. My heart sank! Somehow I had to get him out without harm.

I slowly put my hand next to him, encouraging him to head back to the sliding glass door. I could have caught him, but didn't. He slowly moved over, then out the door. I closed the screen on the sliding glass door. I won't make that mistake again.
