RE: See a hummer

Congrats! The best season of the year is upon you!!!

immediate advise needed

Not sure what forum but I picked a recent post.
One of my hummers got in the house and has been flying back and forth for hours. Any advice?
The ceiling is 36 feet above the floor.

RE: See a hummer

If you can make it dark in the room, it may drop to the floor. If it does, use a flashlight to spot and capture it.

Put one or more feeders at the door with red ribbons around them. It will fly down and out.

Good luck….

RE: See a hummer

If you follow Sallie's advice about the feeders and go away from it, it may find it's way out. Leave it alone so it can calm down and try to get out.

Last year I had one in my garage for hours, and finally left it alone (with lots of red at the door). When I went back it was gone. but while I was in there trying to get it out, it just got more and more agitated.

RE: See a hummer

laketexoma, what happened to the hummingbird? I hope it got out safely.
