Salvia blooming already

When I was outside yesterday, I noticed my salvia 'Cherry Queen' is blooming. Unless we get a freeze, that thing will bloom until frost. It's the longest blooming plant I have - But the earliest it's ever started blooming before was around mid April. Most years it doesn't start until sometime in May.
I haven't seen any hummingbirds yet but it's good to know I have something blooming for them if they do come around.

I'm loving this early spring. Hope we don't get a freeze to ruin it.

Other early bloomers

I forgot my Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle has been blooming for a few days and 'Alabama Crimson' Honeysuckle has a few flowers starting to open up. Also - My Red Buckeye has a few flowers starting to open up, but mostly still has buds. I'm ready for the hummingbirds. : )

Good for you , about the only thing about to bloom are my honeysuckles coral and major wheeler lots of clusters just not big enough to open just yet. That appears to be the only flowers that might be ready when hummers appear here later this month.
