Who knows, if you planted your Beebalm in the right conditions you might have more that you want this year! This stuff can be a quick spreader.

Gosh greenthumb, I hear people speak of "invasive" plants, and I don't have much experience with anything in my yard seeming to qualify to meet the definition. However, the Bee Balm is the one thing that seems to quickly spread like wildfire here. I would watch for new plants to come up, and when the ground is moist, you can just gently pull them up and then transplant them. They transplant very well, requiring very little attention once transplanted. A little water now and then, and they do very well. I'd pull some up, put the roots into water, and take them to Uncles yard and plant them. Just my opinion from my experience.~~Angie

Yes thats the thing with this plant its a speader. But I can understand if want some in another location. The only one I have is grand marshall and its spreading . Never tried a cutting on bee balm though.

Just take a small spade and chop out a section of the small sprouts that are popping up this time of year; make sure you have some of the underground vines and small roots that are present. then just transplant wherever you want, and water. I have done this a couple of times w/ my monarda jacobs cline, and the new transplants come up better than the original.
