| Hi all..haven't been here in a couple of weeks due to hubby in the hospital and then some internet problems.
Anyway, my population has increased a bit over the past few days and seems to be about 6 or 7 (not too sure) at this point. Of course there is one male bully who perches on top of a sheperd's hook with 2 feeders, guarding both as if it were a cache of gold!!!! Then he swings around to the back of the house to check out who's feeding on the other 2 feeders. He must be one tired little hummer! Hope it's going to be a great season for everyone. The fun is just beginning! Donna |

| I actually had a record early hummer for me on 4-23 being in central indy. I too am seeing some increase in activity not as much as Donna as yet but at least 3 and several chase episodes. So enjoy the season everyone. |

| Donna- I hope your hubby is doing well. On a lighter note, i Had my first sighting yesterday of a male. It's so exhilirating! It was great that my 6 year old son was there to witness it too. He was just as excited as I was. I agree that this is hopefully just the beginning to a fun hummingbird season. Kim |

| I am having more activity in the last 2 days. Rain and cold yesterday, and chilly weather this morning. I was able to stand very close to a feeder this afternoon, while a male RT was sipping for quite a while. I have 5 feeders up,and this one male bully chases the others away, guarding all 5 feeders. He perched on a limb, and stayed for about 10 minutes. I think they are getting more friendly and I am anxious for one to feed at the window feeder.Grandchildren, gardening, hummers and photography keep me quite busy, and I love this season! |

| Besides increased activity Im also noticeing hummers seeming to be more bold at the feeders as I move around the kitchen or pc room. They will flare off some but will come back to the feeder. |
