| This little thing just sits at the feeder, looking around and sipping now and then. I think it's female (ruby throated). She will allow a male to drink, but eventually chases him away.
She looks so disheveled, and camps out til 8:30 p.m. I'm used to the hummers that come and go quickly. Is this a territorial thing? Sometimes I wonder if she's sick. What do you think? |

| Sounds and looks normal to me. |

| She is claiming that feeder as her own... surprised that she allows any other Hummer's there at all, even for a second or two.. mighty nice of her. ;) |

| Normal, but if you only have 1-3 birds that is a slight problem because the dominate bird will chase the others off. Once you get 4 plus birds it will be more difficult for one bird to keep them run off. As he chases one another will sneak in for lunch. |

| Thanks for all the comments. She's not sitting much anymore, and takes turns with the male feeding. Haven't seen a fight yet this year, but did last year. Wish I could have more than 1 or 2, but never get a lot. |
