I think some creature must be getting to them, particularly when they are pipe -cleanered to the hooks. Do you have raccoons or bears in your area? It`s pretty windy where I`m at and mine rarely come off. You may have to bring them in at night.

I have the same problem. It is raccoons. Annoying because they also urinate on the deck rail. Last summer I hired an animal control company to come out and trap the ones that were causing the problems. I don't want them in my attic.

If you live in bear country, It might be wise to take the feeders in at night.

I agree something must be reaching them. I have three of the saucer style hanging here and I'm right at the ocean, we are windy. It can be annoyingly windy ;) Two are on shepherds hooks and they barely swing in the wind, that saucer style really doesn't catch that much air....

None have ever fallen and I haven't reinforced the hook or tried to further stabilize them in any way.
