Hummingbird Garden

When can I expect the hummingbirds?

Hello!

I am new to this board and birding in general. I love hummingbirds and put a brand new feeder in my window, and now it is just a matter of time I am sure. The only problem is that I live in Erie, Pa., and it is still kind of chilly up here. We had some great 80 degree weather 2 weeks ago, and then it just went away! We are looking at some temps in the 60's next week...but my lonely little feeder looks so, well, lonely! If there is anyone from this area that can tell me when they come around, I would greatly appreciate it!

Well according to the migration map, they are already there!! I'm in Laurel, MD, and have my feeders up as well. Haven't seen one yet, though, usually don't until around June. Good luck!! Christy :)

Thank you Christy! What a cool migration map that was. I have yet to see a hummingbird...but today caught the biggest Oriole at the feeder! What a nice surprise! Anyway, thank you for your help and have a great day!! Kathie
