I wouldn't attempt to make my own. When they leak, and they will, they will attract wasps and ants instead of hummers and waste nectar. You will get many more miles and hours of enjoyment from a good store bought feeder.

I've tried 2 different types of the store bought/ready made feeders (the test tube type that feeds one bird at at time and the reservoir type with the globe at the top and ports to feed 4 birds designated by yellow plastic flowers at the bottom) and they've both leaked. I found some good ideas on Youtube. Just type "make your own hummingbird feeder" in the search box and you'll get a few different ideas. Have fun!

I only found 5 videos on making hummingbird feeders and this looks like the cheapest and easiest to make.
