Male Hummer Killed Female! Please help!

Hello,

I live in CT and have two hummingbird feeders. One is located in my perennial garden in the front of the house and the other is located in the back of the house. Each year for about a decade I have had many hummers frequent my feeders. This year they seem to be very aggressive. Over the past few weeks I have noticed that one particular male has gotten very territorial about the feeder in the front. Whenever another hummer lands on the perch, he swoops in and stabs at the hummer. Very sadly, he killed a female today. I found her lying in the flowers with what looks to be a pierce mark in her chest. Please help! I don't want any more hummer violence. Should I add more feeders? Would this help? Has anyone seen something like this before?
