| Saw my 1st hummer of the year today, here in Newtown, CT.(Zone 6) For the previous 3 years, I'd seen my 1st of the season twice on May 1st and once on May 2nd....so this guy's a bit late but I may have just missed him earlier. Amazing how they come back the same time every year for us. Looking forward to seeing more of them now that at least one has arrived. I get to sit at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee tomorrow morning and just watch the feeder for his visits. Love it! |

| Oh I take it back..exactly one hour after I posted I went outside and got buzzed while one was zipping in and out and peeping in my Quince! First time for that bush too. I heard him buzzing before I saw him..and a full ruby throat too! yay! Summer is HERE! |
