Lady in Red and Coral Nymph ???'s

Hi all :)

Please excuse all of my newbiee questions here.

I have these two plants (4 of each) in two separate whiskey barrels.

When I purchased these at my local nursery, they were course are very slender and spiky. The littlest wind makes them lean over.

I was wondering if these are going to fill out more bushier as time goes on. I believe the tag stated to plant 8-10 inches apart.
