hi steve what is this "citrus" spray? i have been using a mix of vegetable oil and dish soap;per organic way to get rid of aphids to no avail;i would spray it on my honeysuckle a couple of times a week and also cut off all infected leaves and buds; STILL have aphids

I keep checking my new honeysuckle for aphids, but dont have any yet. I also don't have blooms anymore. Where did they go? Our high temps here are consistant high ninetys to low one hundreds. Too hot for blooming and aphids? My honeysuckle is healthy and growing, no blooms.

Hi Coolaces--- Here are a couple of shots of clusters on my coral honeysuckle taken on 6/24. I now have tons of blooms and no aphids to be seen. I also will leave a link for the citrus spray I used , at least it worked for me. Do not peel the lemons just grate the yellow outside and use it.

rob--- Im not sure why you dont have blooms possibly it is the heat . You might try giving it some plant food such as miracle gro for roses since you need the blooms, good luck.

Coolaces--- I forgot to tell you that I also did some jet blasting with a spray bottle when I did see aphids after I sprayed with the citrus. You might need to use the citrus a couple of times and spray the entire plant and under leaves too. I didnt think the spray was working since I was still seeing a few aphids after using it. You just have to be vigilant about using the stuff, maybe use it 3 or 4 times, it does work. I cut off anything that looked damaged or even suspicious maybe even some that was ok. Good luck.
