I like to grill out on my patio. Last week, a hummingbird was startled when I came outside and began flying around wildly and smacking his head on the patio roof. It's like he was stuck under the patio, like there was a force field keeping him inside.

A week later, I go out to grill out again and he's again startled by my presence and flies around in the force field. Now, I notice a nest he has built on a fan light bulb cover shade thingie. It looks like a wasp nest. I don't want to knock it down, but he shouldn't have chosen my patio as a home.

Can anyone please give advice as what to do?
