| I put up a feeder last year here in Staten Island, NY.
I had a few brownish hummers then they left for winter, now there back, 2 of them, it seems they took over a birdhouse, the hole is really small maybe 1 or 2 inches round, they moved in it, now i see them go in & out of the house, and the feeders are like 20 feet away. These birds make a loud weird noise, i never knew they were so noisy. Im charging my camera now so I can take few shots of the Hummers. |

| hummernyc---I would be interested in seeing those photos if the hummers have brown on them they could be rufous, which would be a rarity for the eastern half of the states. |
