You might sweeten the mix a bit . Try 1:3 sugar to water to keep them coming. Its also important when its hot to freshen the mix every couple of days, good luck and enjoy your hummers.

I will make it a little stronger. Funny... my 1 year old droll yankee feeder has the instructions printed on the top and it calls for 1 to 5! When I bought the new lf-3 at the audubon store they said 1 to 4, and sure enough on the new droll yankee feeder it states 1 to 4. I thought I was making it sweeter when I was infact just making it normal. LOL

I do change the nectar every few days, hopefully these will stick around this year!

How long do they usually sip from the feeder at a time? Is 4 seconds typical?

Yesterday's hummer came back late this afternoon. It perched and drank, flew to the next hole, perched and drank, etc. It was at the feeder for a total of about 12 seconds.
