Learn to think like a raccoon, skunk or squirrel to keep your home safe and your garden intact
Full StoryI just bought a house in the Hill Country just West of Austin and am having trouble with my hummer feeders. Each evening the feeder is full and bone dry the next morning.
At first, it was the raccoons. Fixed their little striped butts with an eight foot, toothpick thin, pepper-strayed iron pole stuck in the middle of yard well away from any trees that could be used for their Navy SEAL worthy maneuvers. (IÂve stayed up for their nightly cruise though my property to make sure they could not figure it out.) Still empty feeders in the morning.
This morning I discovered several articles on the internet of bats drinking the nectar at night and I just wanted to know if any of yall have bats at your feeders? I donÂt mind them at all and have plans to put up a bat house at the back of my property, I just want to know what the heck is stealing the nectar.
Thanks folks!
