Thanks for the compliment! Camera is a Canon T2i + 55-250IS lens. As mentioned, just handheld, natural light. Glad you liked them.

A different individual, AFAIK, from 7/28.

Mbrowne, I think that's lantana. I have yellow lantana and the leaves and flowers are very similar.

Spaceman13, re: tall verbena. Have you tried seeds? I wintersowed it last year (seed sown outdoors in winter, in a covered container) and it bloomed that summer. Some of the plants came back this spring, but we moved this July and I didn't take them with me. I bet it would come back every year for you.

On 08/15/13 I had a Rufous visit my feeder here in southern Virginia. He left the next day but it was exciting to play host while he was here.

This one I took on the 10th of November. It's probably the same Rufous that's still here. Two freezes in the high 20's here so far. Sometimes he answers when I call him, other times I see him or just hear his chatter.
